Having my own two babies inspired me to specialise in newborns and families, so in 2014 I joined the Sage (Photography) team. I found the two roles of mother & family / newborn photographer complemented each other perfectly.

As a result, I’ve dedicated myself to the art of newborn photography and in 2019, I became the proud owner of Sage (Photography). Combining it with my freelance work, I have rebranded the intimate & professional photography service that Canberra families have come to love, as Holly & Sage.

Primarily using ambient light, my style is natural & sweet, creating beautiful images that are emotive & cherished. The Holly & Sage experience is relaxing and engaging, with an uncompromising commitment to quality.

I’m a village person. My heart sings when in good company ~ someone to share, laugh, cry & relive our adventures with through storytelling ~ and believe me, I can talk!

Taking time out, you’ll find me in the garden harvesting my veggies, planting natives, drinking coffee with chickens, or drawing with my two wicked yet adorable children.

I’m a fierce monopoly player, a crazy cat lady & if I weren’t cooking for my family (my most important people) I’d be out chasing storms. I love to draw but never do & I like to cycle with my adoring partner, but rarely do.

However, one thing I do with passion & drive is photography. That’s where I focus my energy & search for connection. I have been creating portraits since 2005, when I began working as a professional photographer, working for a handful of print publications and portrait studios.

There’s no moment more magical to capture than the love & bonds shared with family ~ lets make some magic!

I’m a Canberra girl through and through, born and raised here, and now raising two wonderful kids aged 8 and 10. Our family wouldn’t be complete without our black labrador, Ella, who keeps us company on adventures big and small.

I love simple joys like camping trips in our camper trailer, early morning walks by the beach, and the little moments of calm that come with self-care. The gym is my reset button, and being outdoors always leaves me feeling grounded and grateful.

At home, the kitchen is where I get to play. Cooking recipes from RecipeTin Eats has become a bit of a hobby, and I love sharing those meals with family and friends. For me, it’s all about creating memories, finding balance, and enjoying the everyday.
